Fixed Bridges
Missing teeth can create many problems, such as an aged appearance, difficulty eating and speaking, and remaining teeth can shift out of place to alter your smile and your comfortable bite. Dr. Wei may suggest any number of prosthetics, such as a dental implant, partial denture, or fixed bridge.
Generally recommended for one or more missing teeth in a row, a fixed bridge consists of porcelain teeth and hidden clasps. The bridge fits into gap left by missing teeth and attaches to crowned "abutment" teeth on either side. A bridge cannot be removed, and with proper care, it should last about ten years.
